Nomination and Application Process
With the April 2, 2008 announcement of the selection of Aaron Anstett as the first ever Pikes Peak Poet Laureate (and the inauguration ceremony set for April 12th (from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the East Library) the selection process has been completed.
Over 15 nominations and applications were reviewed and Aaron was selected based on his outstanding qualifications, including publications in nationally juried publications and his record and ideas for inspiring and celebrating poetry in our community.
